Few things here – and looks like the turnout for this is bigger than anticipated. Which is cool!!
#1. The normal drop-in rate for non members is $20. Given the purpose of this event, and the fact that we didn’t specify that there would or wouldn’t be a cost associated with joining in. We are only asking for a ‘donation’ of whatever you can afford. 100% of the donated $$ will be given directly to the cause via the website http://www.cflumberjack.org/
#2. If you don’t have experience with CrossFit, or the movements involved in the workout, you will not be permitted to participate without substantially scaling the workout. The level of scaling will be the up to the 3 owners – Matt, Vinny and JD. And please note – there is a chance that we advise you to use a lighter weight than is needed. We understand that and apologize in advance. Don’t take it personal.
#3. Please keep in mind that this is meant to be a fun event, to support a good cause and to get the community together.

I’m going to attack this workout by riding a segway through each 400m run.
Have they posted the RX’d weight for women anywhere? Just curious.
Go until you cant move- then do 3 more reps, rest 5 seconds start cycle over again.
Yes at lumberjack site, 275 deadlift, 53 kb swing, 115 ohs mes rxd.

Here is my plan:
DL – 135 or 145
KB – 35 lbs
OHS 75 lbs
DB Sq Cleans 20 or 25 in each hand.
If Jake’s bringing the Segway I’m in. Can I use roller blades instead? It’ll be cold enough to freeze water, perhaps we can just skate the 400 m?
Haven’t heard any women’s specific weights. I say contact their affiliate and see what their women are doing.
I was under the impression the weight was dropped about 30% for the womens rx’d weight. (or maybe that’s just what MCCF does.) So that would make the deadlifts around 190 (yea, ok, i’m all over that, right), 37 or so #’s for the KB, so I guess the 35#. I think we have one 42 or 43# KB and then 80#’s for the OHS.
My plan…….other than bitching, bitching, bitching about the cold………I HATE cold weather.

No one is allowed to die during this WOD. Very simply, we have beer to drink afterwards. That is motivation enough not to falter. Or at least it should be. LOL

Chick burpees are the same as burpees. Except if you’re a chick, they’re chick burpees. Go ahead and use the 24 in box if you like!

I love the “boobs to bar”! This should be the next t-shirt slogan: Our chicks do boobs to bar pull-ups… that is if they have them cause they lost weight doing crossfit & those are the first to go, so now they hardly have boobs!”
Anyhow… I would hate to say what weight I would do and then not be able to do it so I guess I’ll wait and see tomorrow morn.
